If I change out my 2000 rims to newer ZO6 rims which are a little wider, what do I need to know? Will this effect my speedometer/milage and any other thing you can tell me.....I want to know what to expect.
I didn't check with anyone before I bought my slotted rotors and now I have rusty rotors everytime they get wet....so I'm checking with the experts before I make this move! I appreciate your help, guys!

No, the width won't affect your speedometer but you probably need to get ready to buy new tires.
The standard run-flats will fit on wider z06 wheels, but they'll look weird and really be a bastich to mount.
Tell me, what is your reason for going to z06 rims? Already have some? Just like the way they look? Going racing?
You should also remember that if you get reproduction Z06 wheels, they will be heavier than the real Z06 wheels so you should be aware of this. Heavier wheels add more unsprung weight which can affect handling and acceleration.
I'm curious, what rotors did you buy that rusted so easily?

The stock Z06 rims are a 1" wider than the stock thin-spokes. Are you running the O.E.M. tire sizes? If so, the wider rim will look a little funny with the narrower tires. It won't affect anything other than the appearance, though.
If you are buying new tires at the same time, make sure that you go with the bigger tires......
Front stock P245/45-ZR17 8.5" wide
Front Z06 P265/40-ZR17 9.5" wide
Back Stock P275/40-ZR18 9.5" wide
Back Z06 P295/35-ZR18 10.5" wide
If you get Z06 tires to go along with the Z06 wheels, the tires are going to have a slightly different outside diameter (smaller) but it wont be enough to change the calibration of the speedo. You'll be fine.
As far as your rotors go, dont worry, thats a no-win situation. My rotors are Baer Eradispeed plus 1's and they cost me over $1000 for the set and they still get rust on them even though they are zinc coated. Not much we can do about it.

These are factory wheels that have about 100 miles on them taken off a 2004 Z06. Got 'em on eBay...fingers crossed that they're what the guy says they are...should be here Thursday. The only racing I do is to get into the garage before it rains! I appreciate all the suggestions and advice! I guess I'll buy new tires to go with the wheels. Looking at Michelin Pilots....I don't think I'll worry about the runflats....will just find a corner in the garage and store the 2000 rims with tires or sell 'em if I can find a buyer. The tires have maybe another 8K left on them. Got the slotted rotors from Mid-America and they're NOT zink coated which can get embarrassing when I'm out with the club and they turn an outstanding orange. Pewter and orange....goes together doesn't it??? :o

I LOVE the look of the Z06 wheels.....plus, my car is pewter and the chrome is a little too 'shiny' for my taste on pewter......I think the softer color of this Z06 wheel will look better on my car's color. The wheels I just bought are more muted like the original painted wagon wheels. I took a chance and bought on eBay. After a lot of research I got a great deal IF they're what the guy says they are. Got my fingers crossed! I'll have pictures this weekend!

Same thing happened to me. You should paint the centers and the outer edges with high temp paint. If you are truly obsessive you can use a silver or clear high temp on the drilled holes.
