I have the corsa Indy pace Car with a Corsa X-pipe and the 3.5" Pro-Tips. At cruise they are virtually silent at 70mph in 6th. At WOT - all I can say I know why they call them Indy's, sounds like an Indy car! (Not really - they're named that because Corsa made them special for the '98 pace car )
At idle, they rumble, but who cares what it sounds like at idle - I don't drive the car at idle!
I have the Corsa Touring Pro Series. They're loud when you want them to be and quiet when you want them to be. You also get a unique sound with them. I didn't want to sound like all the full size pick-ups around here with their loud exhaust.
I had the Corsa Pace Car (louder than touring) and it was way too quiet for me, sounds similar to stock at idle, maybe a little bit like motor boat..at WOT they have a unique pitch, higher pitch, but they sounded wimpy..I am not ripping on Corsa's, that's JMO, they were too quiet for my taste
It really depends on what you want to hear. The sound bites do not give you a feel for the sound under all driving conditions. Idle, WOT, Cruising. Best way is to find someone that has what you think you want and see if they will give you a ride under real conditions. Most of us like an aggressive sound except when cruising. That is where the X-Pipe comes in. If you bought something that is to loud a X-Pipe will tone it down some . If you buy something that is not aggressive enough you will be out a lot of money installing something else and trying to get rid of what you have. Also the darn things sound different on an A5 than they do on a M6
