I was dropping my 02' Z51 suspension Vette this weekend. When i got to my last bolt on the driver side front the bolt to turn was way tooo tight! After a while of trying and a long story short, the bolt head got stripped and the head of the bolt broke off.....what do I do? anyone please help thank you if anything my e-mail is chriscostas@bellsouth.net
Sorry, but the only choice you have is to drill the bolt out and try to remove it in pieces. I doubt if an "easyout" will work in a bolt that tight. Besides, I think it's a grade 8 bolt.
It's got to be one of the weakest feelings ever, when you snap a bolt off in an area like that. I feel bad for you. Good luck.

Are you taking the pressure off the spring? Mine were so tight before I
took the pressure off. After I took the pressure off I could turn it with my hand. If you cant do it with your hand Im sure an extraction tool will do the trick..
I can't even grip the bolt unless with a vice-grip. My plan is to just replace the bolt itself somehow. The problem with that is that they don't sell that bolt of the mono-spring by itself...

Sorry my bad. Leaving the tension on the spring use a bolt extractor and
drill in until it catches. Release the tension on the spring and back it out.
The bolt should not be a problem to get try a good hardware store.
Make sure its the right grade bolt..

It sounds to me that you were attempting to lower your car, right? If so, check out this C5 tech tip. If you follow this procedure, you ought to be able to remove the bolt from the bottom side of the mono-spring and either replace it or leave it completely out and remove the passenger side as well.
