Hi, has anyone tried to contact DS in the past week? I'm trying but no luck. Is there a problem that I don't know about. Thanks Doug

They have been out of business for almost a year...Now if you are talking about PDS, its offspring, I haven't been able to talk to a real person for 3 weeks or more. And at that, they don't return the call anyway.

I tried to find the old thread but it seems to me that someone was saying a new player was just about ready to launch their chrome etched caps.

Anybody else know the facts?

Yes, the last I heard, the etched caps were going to be made by Creative Engine Covers. Availability was supposed to be January, but they have not responded to my e-mail yet.

Sorry. No caps. I have all the other "stuff" (FRC, plenum, tensioner, alternator covers). I might have to ditch some pieces when I get the Maggy installed. I'll keep my eye out though. Did you post in the Parts for Sale Section? That's how I found this stuff. Someone's gotta be looking for a C6 and have the caps for sale from their C5? Just a thought.

Yes, I was talking about PDS. I ordered 3 chrome engine covers at the Carlisle vet show AND payed for them; that was 5 months ago. They are the same parts that DS sold and they are the best looking ones on the market but also the most expensive. Now I can't get to talk to anyone there either by phone or e-mail. Even the voice mail is filled up and I can't leave a message. Thanks for your responses Doug

I too saw some pieces at Carlisle that I liked. Had the money but glad that I was being hurried to get somewhere and didn't pay for them right there. Brian seemed like a stand up guy, unfortunately Chuck seems to be the boss. Probably helped Aaron go out of business.

You are a very good judge of character. Brian is a great guy, no doubt about it.

However, I would strongly advise caution in dealing with PDS. I tried every way I knew to do business with them, waited more than six months, and gave up.

BTW, everything they do has an alternate source. All their chrome plating is done by Advance Plating in Nashville, TN.

To all., Performance Design Specialties Inc., is still in business, always has been and always will be. Before a few of you address facts that you are disenchanted about, please feel free to contact us @ 859-342-7600, we are always happy to answer ANY questions that you may have and yes., we have all the same stuff and even some new., Thanks As for those of you who chose to be less than honest, well., lets just say BS. Everything we do does not have an alternate source, Advanced no longer does our plating, We do, and the idiotic comments about anything with DS are just that, ignorant. Tom, you didn't give up., you made lots of promises and then knew you couldn't afford our quality, so you bailed. WHo needs that. As for the bashers, hide behind your lil' monikers, you show your integrity and intelligence by stating lies and mistruths. We have had our issues and we continue to solve them., Glass houses folks, by the way come in for some dyno pulls.,

Do you guys have a web site with your products? I was looking at the DS chrome alternator and bracket at the NCM in 2003. Bought some stuff from DS at Carlisle.
