IMO, it's not a "mod" that will make the car goes any faster or make it handle any better or make it stop any shorter.
For me it's convenience. I'd rather be carrying one piece than having "two-piece". So, if the price is low enough ($10-20), especially the "empty shell" option, I'll pick up two. Otherwise, I'll pass, there are other mods I can save the money toward.
looks great BUT if i may make a suggestion; turn the key blade 90 dregrees so the fob will hang down the dash instesd of sticking out from the dash. i would be in the market for one like that. good luck
TURN THE KEY FOR THE BEST LOOK! I WANT 2 IF YOU TURN THE KEY

I wish that were possible, but it simply is not. The key has to be positioned the way it is now for many reasons, one is for size, second is so it can flip out the way it does, not to mention that moving the key would make the piece much much bigger. Also Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagon, Volvo, Porche, and many other manufacturers have the key positioned the same way. I really like your suggestion but this really is the best option, also it fits perfectly in our cars.
So how do you measure the resistance of your key yourself??
an Ohm meter wotks just fine - the resistor is in the shank of the key. I know I have seen a chart that lists the different resistance values and their cooresponding key numbers somewhere...Patches?
it would be cool to have, but you have to keep that d@mm Corvette tax out.
it seems like this corvette tax is always screwin us...
im interested in the key and i LOVE the design! its like you took my mind and made what ive been wanting for this mod... id be able to purchase the key if its in the $50 - 100 range. Above that i simply cant justify spending that kind of money.
I want one for the right price, any chance of an LED light in the case to light up the lock when trying to insert the key? That would be topping on the cake.
