Good deal?
I just came from a local Chevy dealer. They had a set of (fronts & rears) Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position tires. They were take offs from a guy who picked up a nail in one of the rear tires and decided to go back to runflats. They look practically new, only thing is the nail in the one rear tire. They left the nail in so they could show prospective buyers. The nail (small) is not near the side wall and it is in the tread, not the low spot in between threads (I think the best spot to be if you happen to pick up a nail). They will patch the tire for me and sell the set of 4 for $500. Sounds like good deal. I don't know much about these tires, I have been looking at the GYT GSD3's. But this deal may be too good to pass up. What do you think
P.S. These tires rate better than the Kumho ECSTA MX tires according to The Tire Rack.
Please note that a patched tire has a reduced speed rating, perhaps buy the set and replace the punctured one, just incase you forget and suddenly have to remember at a buck forty...

Excellent point, I didn't think about that. Thanks!
the difference in a patched tire is one rating lower.. so as long as he keeps it under 160 he is ok...
I had two external patches in one tire and put an additional 35000 miles on the set...without any issues,, I did how ever keep it under 160 after the first Patch.
