Most likely the oil pressure sensor failed. Go here http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=958008 not too bad to replace yourself.

Sounds like an easy fix but I don't trust myself. I guess I'll have to spend more money! Thanks for your help!

Mine did the same thing about 3 months ago. I'm going to wait until it gets warmer to do the fix, but in the meantime am I doing any damage by driving with a faulty sensor (other then if I really lose oil pressure)?

same here three days ago. my digital went to 130 psi. I think I almost went off the road when I looked down and saw it. I pulled in to 7-11 and shut it off. I turned the key on to see the temp and noticed I still had 130 psi without the car running. then I knew it was not a true reading. luckally, my car goes in next week for some luvin. (cam, headers, x-pipe, hiflow cats, corsa mufflers, adjustable roller rockers, underdrive pullies, timing chain, waterpump, hurst shifter and the LS-1 edit. I can't wait. I feel like a kid the week be for christmas!

It is definitely the oil pressure sensor. Mine did it a year ago...it pegged at 130 PSI on may way home this very weekend from the rolex 24. $300 and some dollars later, it was replaced. Been fine since!!!

Your test of key on, but engine off is the "smoking gun" that your problem is a bad sensor! Part is about $40. Install relatively easy. Check "tech tips". CAUTION: DON'T go to dealer!!!! There are many tales of $400 labor quotes for an hour repair!!!!!
