Electrionics working, battery seems fine, but makes absolutely no noise with a turn of the ignition. This happened once before and it started fine at the dealer the next day after being towed there. The only thing the dealer could come up with was that the computer registered an alarm trigger. I didn't hear anything last night though. Please I can use some advice!!!!
Post them here and youl'll get many responses. From your initial symptom of no crank it could be several things. Need the fault codes to pinpoint....hopefully.
You're driving a six speed, could be something as simple as the clutch switch. Turn your key to start and if nothing happens work your clucth pedal several times. Make sure you're in neutral.

going off my bad memory...hold down option button, then press fuel button 4 times quickly
It should then cycle throuhg all your current and historical codes (also check out the tech tips section)

Thanks...that worked.
Here's what I got:
40BCM - B2723 H
58SDM - B1001 H
60IPC - U1160H
Everything else it ran through said "no codes". I'll search CF, but does anyone know what these are? Or how about a dealership in South NJ to tow to?
First question... were you having problems with the "SECURITY" light sometimes?
I had this exact problem for about 6 months and it will happen more and more often until you replace the ignition switch.
I'll bet you a dollar that is your problem.
The contacts in the ignition that 'read' the impedence on the little resistor on the key start to crack from the tiny wires. It gets a reading that doesnt match what the computer is expecting... so the car wont start.
Check your DIC codes and I have a feeling you will find P1631...
You will have a lot of people say that you need a new key, clean your switch, get rid of keychains... they all helped me temporarily, but I ended up having to get the switch replaced anyways.

PM me if you need any more help.
bsmith, come to think of it I have seen that come on once in a while and thought nothing of it. I did not get that particular code but let me go double check - it rolls through pretty fast. I found 2 of the 3 codes which are:
40BCM - Body Control Module, B2723H Pass Key Detect Circuit
58SDM - B1001H Couldn't find this one.
60IPC - Instrument Panel Cluster, U1160H - Loss of communications w/ LDCM
The first one sounds right on the mark for what you are thinking.

thats the other one that I couldnt remember off the top of my head.
Do not have the car towed to the dealership yet. After a while the problem will probably clear itself and you will be able to drive to the dealership. It may have been placebo effect, but if I sat in the car and put the shifter into another gear, or fiddled with the power door locks the car would start. I had mine do this probably 50 times before I got it fixed and it never once stranded me.

Brian, thanks I'll go try. I remember before someone telling me something similar that the computer will reset itself after a nominal amount of time, however I 1st noticed it last night and it sat through the night and still isn't starting. I'll go fiddle with some of the switches - Know any other tricks...I'm all .
Nope, still dead, doing nothing. I think she destined for a tow. Going to call the local dealer and see if they know any trick based on the codes it read.
When this happened to me, I tighten the cable connections to the battery - even though my lights came on, the instrument panel was active. When I got back into the car, it started up. It was probably a short somewhere. Hope this helps.

Thanks RR. Unforutnetly I already called a towing service but its covered on my insurance policy (thank you GEICO).
Dealer told me the same "give it 20 minutes and try again" solution but it didn't work.
Thanks to everyone for their kind advice. I'll post later when I find out what the prognosis is. Maybe it'll help someone in the future.
