Default Rear bumber lettering inserts...

Has anyone bought any of those decals/stickers that go on the back of the car in the embossed CORVETTE? i bought some but the are of crappy quality. Im looking for ones that are black or carbon fiber in color. if anyone has a good website or if any of the vendors here have some good ones that dont fall off when the car gets wet...please let me know. THANKS guys!

And whichever ones you get, prep is important. Use denatured alcohol, not rubbing alcohol. And a hair drier when pressing the letters in. I used quite a bit of water to position them, once they stick and you have to peel them back the adhesive diminishes, so the water lets you play around to get them right

What color is your car? Have you considered Chrome Inserts? They are made of high quality stuff and many forum members use them. IMHO they look the best...

Good luck with your choice.

I bought the vinyl ones from Ecklers; personally I love how it keeps the contours and because I'm just so gifted it looks like a factory install.

I've installed a set of the epoxy letter sets from Mid-America in brakelight red. They look great and so far after six months there are no problems with them sticking to the car. They make a set that looks like carbon fiber too.

I used vinyl lettering from a company called "Reflective Concepts". They were a forum supporter several years ago but I don't know if they still are or not.

The lettering is black vinyl in daylight but is easily seen at night when light hits it. Like others have stated prepping the surface before application is critical to their longevity. Mine have been on for almost four and half years and don't even show a hint of coming off.

Here's what they look like......

they've been on for over a year, and made it just fine through a summer in Phoenix. As the others have said - prep is the key to success!

I've thought about getting them...but I haven't yet. However, when I do I will get the vinyl ones...after all if you don't care for them down the road at least you can remove them...(just like a bad tatoo...best to get a temporary one and see if you really like it)...

I have these: Carbon Fiber rear lettering kit. Excellent look and quality. These are the same as the Brakelight Red letters. Here's what they look like on my Vette:
