The Z doesn't come with the Sport Seats. For that matter neither did its predecessor the 99-00 FRC. They can be upgraded to Sport Seats with the conversion kit sold by VE and a set of replacement seat covers. You won't have the inflatable bladders, but they will look like Sport Seats.
I did this very mod to my 99 that had the base seats. They turned out very nice.
Here a a few photo's of the upgrade:
Base Seats:
Box of goodies:
Trial fit of new Sport Seat cushions and OEM covers:
Finished project: Cost $900 USD, time 6 hours:
Easy project, worth the time and money, plus you can change the color if that's what you want to do.
Pardon my ignorance, but what's the diff between sport & regular seats? I thought they all had the same seats, just diff colors!
Aside from the opening in the headrest area (perfect for folks that have harnes sets) the sport seats have built in bladders to control lumbar, upper back and bolster tightness. This mod didn't include the bladders, I wanted the Sport Seat look. The photo's clearly show the difference I think.
