Rear vent supports?
Does anyone have any thoghts on a simple and more importantly, less expensive fix for the warped rear vents on our cars? Maybe something that would reinforce it in some way without having to pay the outrageous price for an aftermarket bracket to do the same job...... I know we should expect to pay big bucks for anything we want to add to our car of choice, but every now and then I get a little irritated at the aftermarket's perception of our bottomless pockets........Thanks. I guess that was a "vent"....
I bought a set of the ACI fiberglass supports a month after taking delivery of my '02. The butt was already sagging. Believe it or not, a few members here have gotten GM to pay for these since they don't offer anything comparable to address the issue. Here's what mine looks like after 3+ years.

I also got mine from ACI. I bought mine a month after I got my car.

I think, first though, I will stick my head under there and study it for a while, come up with two or three good alternative ideas worthy of patents,................................ ....... then order the right ones from a supplier.
Half inch aluminum "U" channel cut to the approiate lengths with body trim double sided tape (black/dark grey) applied to the bottom (CLEANED) side of the "U" channel, and inside of bumper cover CLEANED THROUGHLY where braces are applied, worked just fine thank you. Just make sure that the bumper cover is very warm. If possible, pressure clamps should be applied to the bottom edge (protect outside bottom edge of cover with soft wood strip) until the bumper cover is cool. Fifteen bucks covered everything.
