Nothing wrong with being polite.

This thread is getting a little personal and not nice. Just ignore the "not so nice people" and save the wave, right?

I didn't know that this would be such a heated debate. I just figured the newer generations weren't aware.

I ride a Honda Valkyrie and when it's coming at you, it kind of looks like a Harley. So the Harley guys will wave. Still, who cares whether they do or not. I used to have a Harley but it doesn't matter. Its the same mentality. I bought the bike because I liked it, not for the acknowledgement of other Harley riders, same with the Vette, I just liked the car, didn't know about the wave when I bought it. BTW, if another Vette waves, (or Mustang, or Mazda, or whatever), I wave back, I just don't initiate the "Corvette" wave. I wouldn't get my feelings hurt, like some of the other forum members seem to, because a lot of Corvette owners don't even know about the wave.

It's not really even a debate, it's just other people trying to force their opinions on other people, then bashing if you dont agree.

I'm new to the Vette crowd so the whole waive thing was new to me. Kind of weird really but I always waive back just out of kindness however I never start the waive.

I like to wave here in Dallas Texas and I usually get a wave back and vise versa. Puts a smile on my face. But hey if you want to be a snob and think you are better than everyone else or just flat out unsociable or don't care about waving, think its dumb idea or have tunnel vision and don't notice or care to notice other Corvettes(very common with most drivers) go about your snotty (my opinion, not applicable with tunnel vison drivers) ways and just keep on driving. There are lots of personalities(cultures in this world and in different parts of our country). Be yourself..

I wasn't stamping my feet at all. I don't care if you wave or not.
And I am 53 .....saw you were wondering about that for some reason.
Happy Motoring.

Why argue about it? Dont wave then. Some people are into the tradition, some people arnt. Basically your opinion is "who cares".
So, why are you still bitching about it?

I take offense to this , I always wave, sometimes the MEN look º¿º at me like I have 2 heads! But I'm persistent, I'll keep waving.
