When I bought the Vette, the plan was to drive my beater as a DD. After about 2 weeks, I was so discouraged with my daily commute, (due to the Vette factor) that I had to go out and get a DD that was way more performance oriented, just to keep me sane between fixes...
I was out of mine for 4 months after an accident. Got it back just in time for a good shakedown on StuzCruz to Daytona USA a month ago today.
Had to give it back to the (body shop) today and drive home a rental Hyundai while they take care of several 'punchlist' items. At least they're paying the rental, but it reeeally hurts to be without it again, and feels like another 4 months already , and when they said Friday at the latest I'm already thinking that means sometime next week. It better be done right this time!!!
Oh yeah, I'm a Corvetteaholic alright. Don't care if there's a cure, but I do promise I'll seek more professional help whenever budget & time permit! A therapy session at Sebring last year

I can understand the feeling. With a company car and being up north I thought mine would rarely see the light of day this times of year but I typically need a fix at least one or two times a week.
