The biggest struggle with this so far is choosing a color. I have a Black/Black coupe w/Chrome Z06 wheels. I recently replaced the rotors with the sportbrake slotted/crossdrilled ones, and ceramic pads, The red i tried just isnt dark enough. I thought a great color, deep enough for my liking would be the 50th anniversary red (Sorry, don't know the "real" name) My question is..... If I bought touchup paint from the dealer in that color would it apply easily and hold up to the "elements"????? any other suggestions?

I think you should photochop your car with the color/s you like and see which one is best. I started with the yellow and ended up doing black. IMHO, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.
The paint designed for cals is 900 degree paint. I don't know what the heat tolerance for touch up paint would be. Might be okay for a while, but in a year it might look Just my $.02
There's another member with an red AE here with the cals painted black. My likey!
Found it for you ...

If you want red, get Rustoleum Sunrise Red. It is almost a perfect match for the red on the Z06 calipers. That's what I used on my Torch Red. Applied 4 coats with a small foam brush. It almost looks like it is powder coated.
Black cars need a dash of color to keep them from looking too plain. Chrome and black just aren't quite enough. Just a hint of red, yellow or even bright blue or green put some pop in your appeal.
For red calipers, Rustoleum, I believe it's sunrise red.

Not trying to hi-jack the thread ... but does anyone know if/how to get a touch up bottle of the OEM "caliper grey"? Or a close match?
FYI, one of my calipers has a couple "scrapes", courtesy of previous owner. This winter I'll re-do them to compliment the Electron Blue --right now I'd like to do a quick touch up. Advice appreciated.

Just finished mine his weekend. Black coupe w/ C6 wheels and Sunrise Red from Rustoleum. Just make sure you clean and prime 1st if you spray. Also mask and cover the car. Zuti
I did my fronts with Rustoleum Red, just like my dad. He has had his for 2 years and no fading. I believe the heat resistance is a bunch of bunk, at least for us who don't do track time (and get the brakes to heat up a lot).
Lightly sand the letters after painting to get the metallic look, but if you want to paint a different color, small brush and patience. Zuti
... When I did mine, I used a sanding pen on the letters, and it came out great. Less than $4 at Wal-Mart in the automotive section. A touch up paint pen is also available in just about any color you want.
I would have thought you'd need hi temp paint. Not? Also, what is the best way to highlight the letters in a different color?
Before painting, run a bit of "ChapStick' over the letters on the front calipers. When done, and the paint is dry, wipe off with a towel. I did have to use a razor on a couple of areas. I then lightly sanded with a foam type sanding pad with very fine grit. I then put a little clear over them.

Is this high temp paint? If not, how is it holding up?
I have the Rustoleum sitting right here and am starting the painting in a minute. I have read countless threads where people have used it and it holds up fine.

I thought the calipers came in just a bare metal form??
