I like these *****, although I see some can light up if you wire them to do so. Is this getting into "RICE" territory? I have an auto and got the idea from vettedream to use the adapter for a manual ****. Anyone with pictures of their install?

they make them for automatics, too.

our coupe is pretty much riced out, if you ask me, so what's the harm with a flame ball?

I personally don't think it is rice, but I've had my blue-flame shiftknob on my vette for over two years. I love it and I get a lot of positive comments on it from all age groups. They only time you can even tell it is any different is at night. And it isn't a bright light (doesn't light up the interior like those NEONs do).

I guess I should also "fess up" that I'm also a card carrying member of the "neon-gill" club (small neon lights in the fender gills). They are only on if I turn on the driving lights but they are also very popular with everyone that has actually seen them (if you haven't seen them I know it sounds much weirder than it looks).

If the flameball is what you want, go for it. If you are only going to make mods that make other people happy, you may as well leave it stock. And even there, there are still some people who won't be happy. Moral of the story, make yourself happy and let others think what they want.

I got a blue pearl **** from Flameball, but just never wired up the light. Love the look of the ****, but just couldn't bring myself to light it up. Seemed like it might be going a little overboard and on the pearl **** the light didn't get diffused enough. You could still see the location of the bulb inside the ****. And, well, sometimes I'm a little lazy, too.
