a while ago,i had a 95 vette that i supercharged w/a vortech.results, mid 12's @110-112 at the strip!lots and lots of work done to that lt1 to hold up under boost.how about the ls1?how much work will need to be done if i go that route w/my 01 6 spd?not looking to spend 12 grand like i did to reabuild the lt1.just want some real mods that work!!!
12's with a blower? wow, you'll easliy see 11's and with a little work hello 10's! It really depends on how much boost you run, Stuzvette is running 8-9lbs right now i believe on a stock bottom end, stock heads, with an aftermarket cam shaft. He's running a Magnasum charger.

I suggest you post in FI/Nitrous forum for detailed technical responses - lots of very knowledgeable member over there.
I bolted on a ATI P-1SC intercooled Procharger on an otherwise stock LS1 and produced 497rwhp with just a Blackwing and Borla Stingers. I have a automatic so you can realise much better numbers with a manual like yours.
Engine and drivetrain held up fine, no problems but then I did not abuse my car.
Take a look in the FI Section for most of your answers.
The best route would be a ATI SC P1 or D1 FMIC with all ECS brackets.
Cant go wrong, be safe and have a lot of power. Or a TTi Stage 1. If you want more than 550rwhp you should build your bottom end to make it last.
Have fun with it,

if you can, lay in the proper foundation.........intake.....headers... ..even intake mannifold........(avalible at any mailorder house) then free flow cats and the free flow exoust that everyone is finely making...then go go supercharger....

Chris and Doug did the work for me at East Coast Supercharging, and I couldn't be happier (2 time customer too.. 503 rwhp wasn't enough with the stock motor, so I went for it with a supercharged 427)
Supercharging the stock motor won't set you back too much, and imo, the best bang for the buck for a street car
I was kind of in the same predicament. I had a built LT-1 in my '95. (heads, cam, port/polish, blah, blah, blah)
It was definitely faster but really was a PIA (heating issues, passing inspections, too rich, too lean, blah, blah, blah)
Now on my '98, I bolted on a used (1500 mile Maggie), have about 4-5K in it (including hood, tuning, etc ,etc) and best I pulled was 397 RWHP and 424 RWTQ. With a little better tuning, it may pull a few more ponies but regardless, it's great as it is.
With me driving in the manner I do (always seem to be sliding when catching 2nd) I'm still getting over 18 mpg, passes emissions, idles great, doesn't overheat and the grins per mile are fantastic.
If money isn't an object, I would have probably gone with a procharger but my vette is my daily driver and my "other" street toy sucks up the rest of my money.
