Default Love the rumble

Had to share the story. As the weekend approaches and I look forward to driving the Vette tomorrow, I pull in to the office this morning get out of my car and here this nice rumble. I pan across the parking lot to try and use my ears to pinpoint the source. I faintly see a black roof of a sports car weilding its way around. Then it shuffles down my parking isle. As it pulled around the corner I quickly recognized a beautiful black Z06 with Borla Stingers. I watched to see where he parked and went up to introduce myself. We chatted it up a bit and he told me he had just bought it used and was looking for a good mechanic in the area. I told him I was in the same boat but told him about the forum.

Hopefully we'll see him soon. Man, that car sounded great. I could clearly here him leave the parking lot as I sit here at my desk.

I can totally relate! On my drive to work yesterday there was a 4-Runner that followed me for about 10 miles all the way into the office. When we both got out of our cars he was like "Man your car sounds awesome" I like to match the revs and I guess I got on in slighty at a point on the drive in. Lets just say it made my day... Just think when I get the aftermarket exhaust on there!!!

Said he had taken it to Atco (local drag strip) and ran in the low 12's but mainly because he was still hesitant to open her up.

That car was definitely way modded and that beast roared.

Sounded like a fun interaction

East Coast Supercharging is in Cream Ridge (really close to Great Adventure). Maybe they can lead you to a good wrench person if your looking for dealership work. I have had a lot of success with RK Chev. in Vineland NJ (dealership work). ECS handles all my performance work

Thanks BT. I'm in Avalon but parents are up in Blackwood if you happen to know of any other mechanics....

Was thinking Conte's in Vineland.

Conte's is a cool shop, RK is 1/2 mile up the road from there on Delsea Dr. I went to Conte's one time, they did not want to get involved in any upgrade work, they are more of a restore and sell place. What type of work are you looking to get done? I'm in Cherry Hill, I drive to Vineland to RK for my dealership work (warranty) and up to ECS for my performace work. The only other place that I would trust my Vette with is Corvette Paramedics in Mt Holly. There is a mechanic that Chris at ECS knows that works at a dealership that he recommends for dealership work. Having a brain fart...forgot his name and the name of the dealership

I need to get out to more events. I am wanting to replace my stock exhaust, but I need to hear them before purchasing. I belonged to a Vette club in Kansas City, but was dissapointed in the fact that at 38 I was about 25 years younger than the average member...not too many performance mods in that club...BUT THE CLUB JACKETS WERE TOP NOTCH

Anyways, I need to get with some vette guys to get some ideas

Actually not in the market for any mods now - a bit tapped out and saving for a house (w/ garage of coarse). Just looking for a place incase I ever have problems down the road. Yeah I kind of had that impression of Conte's. They have been helpful with some restoration advice. Drove by the other week and they had a beautiful red/black '67 big block. Thanks for advice and I'll keep it in mind. We need to get some South Jersey people together soon - do you belong to any clubs? Would like to link up with one and get to meet some local enthusiasts. Take care....
