I have had a number of purchases with LAPD and have never had a bad experience with them. IMHO just pick up the phone and give Shawn a call and you will get your answer in short time. They would never do anything to ruin their reputation and LAPD is a class act! You issues will be addressed and resolved...

Have never had a problem either. Shawn always responded to e-mails. Even when I ordered a Vararam and Magnaflow Catback (back ordered), they pre-authorized the amount from my credit card but after several days LAPD (or the credit card company), de-allocated the funds for both items. Only once LAPD found a set of Magnaflows (had them drop shipped from a competitor) did they charge my account and ship the Vararam as well. Suggest a call to Shawn to straighten out this issue.

I have ordered a lot of merchandise from LAPD over the past three years. Shawn has taken care of me every time with no problems. I ordered from Mid America three times. They lost my order twice and sent the other one to another state. It's LAPD for me!

Ordered may things from Shawn, no problems. Credit card is normally charged due to special orders or drop shipments. LAPD does a lot of drop ships to save costs which is typical today.

anytime iterms are "drop shipped" - the order taking company runs a risk that the mfrg won't ship as quickly as first thought.

I don't think there is any way around this.

The good thing is that LAPD will take care of you - no need to worry.

I'm sorry you feel slighted. I have ordered stuff from Mid-America myself and had to wait not weeks but months for shipping, no my card wasn't "charged" but they kept an active authorization for the amount till it was sent. Really not much difference.

I have bought several things from Shawn, Borla Stingers, Vararam, Braided lines, Redline water wetter etc...He has always been more then helpfull and when I was going to order a Gasket set from them for my H/C swap he told me to wait and gave me some great insight. He had a sale in his hands and yet turned it down and gave me some sage advise that was unsolicited.

That's more then I would ever get at someplace like Mid-America where I am just another caller....

I have bought several items from Shawn. I have not had any problems with my orders. He also matches other vendors prices on same items. I really think you should call shawn and resolve this problem. He will make it right.

another satisfied customer. Like others said, quick response to E-mails, even when he should be home, great supporting vendor, and now he is likely waiting on the manufacturer. I'm sure he'll get it straightened out in no time.

I've never dealt with LAPD, but I believe the problem is probably BAER. I've had a bad experience with BAER and they take forever to ship.

I've done business with LAPD and Shawn multiple times over the years. Just last week, I placed a decent sized order from him. What he had in stock was shipped out very promptly. My Hotchkis sway bars were drop shipped directly from Hotchkis, and my tunnel reinforcement plate was dropshipped from that vendor, too. I emailed Shawn multiple times, and he has always replied promptly and professionally before and after the sale.

iceman47,

Sorry to hear that we either didn't get your last email or you didn't get our last email. Emails do get lost sometimes and as many forum members that have dealt with me and LAPD know, I live on my computer and answer emails usually within minutes of receiving them since I can type nearly 150 words a minute (and will probably get carpotunnel soon due to this.)

I really wished that when you didn't get an email back from us, you could have sent us another email letting us know that you didn't get a response or called us on our toll-free number. We would have advised your of your shipping status.

We have never had any reason NOT to respond to any emails and never had a problem in the past responding to emails and as you can see the support that we have on this forum is enough to where it sends a message that there must have been an error somewhere along the lines electronically.

Your Baer rotors were out of stock at the time you placed your order here at LAPD, so to save time, we placed the drop ship order with Baer, but they were out of stock as well which is what explains the delay in your order. Your rotors are due to ship from Baer anyday now.

In the future, please email us at least one more time or call us via phone letting us know that you didn't get a response before posting any negative comments on the forum. It would be understandable if you posted on the forum after not receiving a response to 10 emails that you sent us or not getting a return phone call from us after leaving 5 voice-mails for me, but after only ONE email?

I would have responded on this thread earlier, but as many of you know I have a 5 month old son and he takes a lot more of my free time now.

Thank you to everyone else that chimed in and supported me and LAPD.

It is much appreciated.

Shawn
