Default Dyno #'s

Hi,
I was wondering what numbers are the dyno numbers I should be looking at, the Actual #'s or the SAE Corrected #'s? From what I understand, the SAE #'s are the ones at sea level with with perfect weather. Im I correct? Please let me know.
Thanks

I've always thought you should look at SAE numbers. The correction is supposed to make it so that you can compare numbers under different conditions. If you don't use the SAE numbers, then you can't compare your results with someone else's.

Dyno numbers are easily modified anyways. I'm aware of a vender who intentionally edits their number to show higher hp gains for their products on their dyno. Dyno numbers are a neat thing, but should never be counted as 100% accurate.

Ok, I was just wondering because the new SAE numbers i got on Thurs are closer to what I think the car is doing than the orig Actual #'s I got on Saturday, about 22HP more. These were 2 diffrent pulls. Thanks.

I'm curious who did your dyno work, since your sig says you're in Illinois. I had my done in Ft Wayne Indiana and then in Downers Grove Illinois a couple weeks later and the figures were within literally just a few HP of each other.

I too would look at the SAE corrected numbers. Seems to be a more accurate way of comparing HP.

I had a bunch of stuff (cam, supercharger, exhaust, etc...) at Extreme HP Motorsports in Elk Grove Village. He dynoed the car and had it tuned. I am happy with the car and the numbers (538RWHP corrected and 500+RWTQ) . I just got the car back about 2 weeks ago. When my new idler comes in to replace the stock one I broke, Ill be even more happy.

SAE to compare, but, it is nice to see what our cars do in the cold. Mine on the same day, same dyno went 375 SAE, 390 uncorrected
