I had the dreaded exhaust rattle that was addressed in a TSB. Took matters into my own hands and installed a Bassani x-pipe.
Man what a difference. It sounds really cool!! I had stingers on my last vette but decided to stay with the Ti's this time. That x-pipe really livened up the exhaust note. I would highly recommend this mod to anyone.

I heartily agree. When I added my Magnaflow xp it really added some zing to the Z06 TI "howl". Sounds far better and much more refined at WOT too.

Did the x pipe increase the sound volume at all or just change the sound? I like the sound of the stock system...just want a little more of it!
My 03 came with a Bassani X-pipe mated to B&B PRT's. Man the car sounds great at any throttle position. No drone or resonances but got WOT and the PRT's wail. I still have a lot of snapping/popping on decel, but I enjoy that sound. I love down shifting two gears when I'm along side a ricer and let it decel. The looks on these kids faces is green with envy.

If you like the stock sound, you'll love it even more with an x-pipe. It doesn't really change the volume as much as it adds more of that sweet wail or howl when tooling around at mid-rpms around town. At WOT, it's actually a little quieter, but still sounds great. Do it!
