Today had such potential. My Vette isn't my daily drive. I have a company truck. Yesterday I did such a great job detailing her, and since tomorrow I have to leave on a business, I thought I would take the vette on the bumper to bumper grind. When I was cleaning her the night before, I noticed that the passenger window wasn't going down. I knew about some people having trouble with theirs, so I just figured it was my turn. I found the sweet spot on the door, gave it a solid hit and it worked.
This morning I get up for work, head out and just as I get a block away, I wanted to check the window. It didn't work. Obviously it needed more attention than a whack. Why couldn't I just have left it alone. The whole ride up, about an hour, I keep pressing the button, determine to win. I keep hearing the click, but nothing. Finally I goes down. I was thrilled, man won over machine!!... until I realized it wouldn't go back up. Since I don't have a garage and I am leaving to go away tomorrow, I had no choice but to call Chevy and tell them to make room, I am on my way. Well a couple of hours later and a $500+ bill( I figured change the oil while I was here).
I can't believe that each time I start my car, I am sure that I can go 150+MPH if I wanted to. I am not sure if the window will always go down, or if the gas gauge is correct.
