Default I saw something pretty cool today...

This afternoon I saw a black C5 with the fog lights on only (no daytime running lights) and the headlights were not up. I didn't know you could do this, must be a rewire job? It looked a lot better that the daytimes. While we're on the topic of fog lights why aren't they a little brighter, and shouldn't they be called driving lights since they are white and not yellow?

Just turn on your park lamps. Then the fog light button. And wah-lah.

well with one click up on the headlight column stick, it will only put the fogs on (and your tail lights...etc) , with the fog light button on. As for the DRLs he probably took out the fuse or something..

Also the brightness can be helped by adjusting the fog lights up. They most always came form the factory without proper adjustment.

This is standard stuff. I happened on this by using the fog lights and not turning them off before I turned off the headlights. From that point on the fogs were on instead of the DRL's. Someone told me they were on during the day. You can't turn them off till you turn the headlights on again then turn the fogs off and when you turn the headlights off the DRL's will be active once again.

I'm learning, that's why I'm here. Well, there is the occasional entertainment...

...and this info on the DL and fog lights is new to me.

You are right about that! Bright white lights suck in fog conditions. Nothing could be worse.

If you want brighter driving lights, you should consider a set of PIAA 1100's. I love my PIAA's and use them sometimes without the headlights.

I don't know if you were referring to my post...but no one said you asked a stupid question...you did.

It's just a normal function of the lights
