Default tech2

I have a tech2 but what body type do i put it on there is no G , and im up to date?

when you use a tech2 its asks you what body type, there are different letters for different body styles , a corvette is G the 8th postion of the vin but there is no G to choose from in the tech2 menu.\

The Corvette is a "Y" car. Eighth character is the engine ID, which on a Vette would be "G" for LS1, "S" for LS6. You will be asked for the engine ID if you go into engine diagnostics.
Did you know they update the Tech 2 almost every month with new information and diagnostics?

Im a locksmith and just got the new toy for programing key and fobs.
I figured i would play a little,
Ps buds at the dealership upload me on the fly

Body type is forth digit "Y",engine type is eighth digit "G" or "S"

Man I wish I had one of those "Tech II's" But aren't they about $1500 to $2000. Or is there a place to get one at a more reasonable price.
