Went to the bmw parts counter and told parts man that I read a thread about members who purchased bmw jacking pads that fit the C5. anyone out there know the part no. or make or year I should ask for? thanks
$9.00 I only paid $6.00 for mine . I happen to be at BMW one day getting my car fixed so I asked the counter guy if he had any. They had a bunch of them and he could hardly believe that BMW sells anything cheaper than Chevy...
BTW - the BMW jack pads look smaller than the elite engineering ones (thickness wise), but they seem to do their job well and protect your car...

I probably got taken, after all, the dealer is within 15 miles of D.C.!!!
Yup, this is what I did. Bought them last week, and they are on their way now. Extremely inexpensive, and they are made the Vette. While others might work, I've got too much invested in my C5 to even think about saving just a few dollars, and besides, it goes to a supporting vendor! An entire set of jacking pads cost $39.95 from them.
