Default GHL Bullets & X-Pipe

Question for the GHL folks on the board.

Bullets are on. LOVE them. Have the expected 'gurgling' on deceleration in my M6. I am going to switch out stock and install the GHL x-pipe.

Some people say it makes it more throaty and refined and smooths out the 'gurgling'....other posts say it took off too much of the edge, substantially - and became 'wimpier' than they were looking for.

Any input is appreciated.

I have had GHLs and an X pipe since October. I never had the GHLs without the X pipe. I would not consider the sound wimpy. I do not have any popping. I have heard GHLs without the X pipe and the only difference with and without the X pipe is the absence of popping on decleration. I can not detect a difference in sound except the absence of popping. Wimpy

GHL's + magnaflow X-pipe=great low rumble/"throaty" sound with little or no popping. IMO if you go with out an X-pipe the sound might wear on you.

I have GHL bullets as well as the expected popping and gurgling on deceleration. I actually kind of like the raw sound.
That said, I am planning to put on an X-pipe, but not until I am ready to put LT headers as well. Leaning towards an all GHL system, though I am waiting for a little long-term feedback on the GHL headers.

Default GHL Bulletts & X-pipe

Have exactly what your talking about. Installed the GHL Bullets, loved the sound but didn't care for the "popping" on deceleration. I then installed the X-Pipe, but I used Bassani's. My sound is the same, maybe slightly smoother, the popping is gone. Great quality & fit.

I have GHL Bullets, Random Tech high flow cats and X-pipe. all mated to TPIS Cermic coated long tubes.

I love the deep throaty sound and the pop-n-guggle on the down shifts. SOunds like a big block inside.

I have pics of the set up in the first pic link below

It seems like from a perusal of this and other threads, that a Bassani x-pipe might --and I emphasize might---work better than Magnaflow x-pipe on GHL Bulletts for purposes of reducing deceleration popping. For those of you that did not identify which x-pipe you were using, could you do so ? Thanks. Any thoughts on this ?

I have the Ghl bullets and the Ghl x-pipe. I still have a little popping on deceleration but not that bad. Everybody that has heard my exhaust system has said the same thing. They sound AWESOME!
