I've had 2 other convertibles before the Vert. One was manual and the other automatic. The manual roof on the MG Midget was a PITA even though the car was fun. I also had an Astra convertible with the electric roof. Always thought that something was going to fail and you still had to clip the cover on when it was down.

The Vert is effortless. Twenty seconds and its stowed neatly. Apart from the pain of getting out to do the job, it's a breeze. I couldn't justify the $$$ of the electric mods. JMHO.

I've seen a post where someone gave instructions to do this. I've tried it myself but it's not easy, much easier to just get out of the car.

Default vert

I have an 04, and can't speak to other earlier years, but mine is a piece of cake. I am even surviving just fine without the ridiculous window valet!
Go for it.

I have a 2004 vert, and the manual top is easy. Last summer, I could go two or three weeks without putting the top back up. The only problem with that was that I got some creases in the fabric, but that has nothing to do with power or manual tops.

Go for the vert!!
