Default Chrome Screws?

Anyone know where to purchase chrome screws for the engine compartment? The ones that hold the fenders on. I know that Ecklers sells them but it has to be cheaper somewhere else.

I want to do the engine and rear compartments?
Anyone know the size?

Thanks

I would also like to get the same parts but at a better price. Maybe someone will get a GP together.

Sounds like a great idea. Stainless would be the way to go.

Hit up one of your local marine products and supply. They carry every kind of nut, screw and bolt you could imagine.

Stainless looks so close to chrome, but it will never chip off or rust.

Only way to go.

Thanks guys! I really wanted to stay away from ecklers because I believe that we should be able to find them cheaper. Some one had posted a site that sold chrome screws in the sizes that we need but I cannot find the thread. I have done many searches on this forum but cannot find it. I was thinking that surely someone here may know of a website.

Thanks

This suggestion won't help the OP (who lives in Louisiana), but for those of you living in colder climates (where your car is off the road this time of year), don't replace the hardware - just send it out to be plated. If this is the only thing you are having plated, and are concerned that you won't meet the shop's minimum, drop them off at a custom motorcyle shop. These places consolidate customer orders, and typically send them off to the plater on a weekly basis.

BTW, besides chrome, you can also get them gold plated or finished in black chrome.

I agree with the stainless suggestion. I have a 2000 Fatboy with EVERYTHING chrome (or SS), and the SS fasteners hold up MUCH better than the chrome ones.
