What is this? Help!!
My local dealer ran this 2001 Vette for me on his GM Inquiry system. It lists the following under claim history:
2/19/2002..... Z7097-Buyback Dealer Administrative Allow Other Than Legal----3856 miles
On the first page under Aplicable Warranties, it lists this item:
12/12000 BuyBack Warranty......Effective Date 5/30/2002.....Effective Odometer 5694 miles.....End Date 5/30/2003.....end odometer 17694 miles.
What gives with this car? Has it been subject to a buyback and then resold with a warranty for future buyback?

Somebody had some problems and Chevy bought it back from them. I had the same thing happen on my 96 Collector's Edition POS. Stay away from it. Chevy is supose to give the veh a complete going through and all problems fixed before they can resale it. Buyer Beware.

Yep, sounds like the car was a buyback. I would stay away from it - they may have it fixed but then again, they may not.
