Right on! That's the way I am going to go also. I am going to find one a do a polish job on it. I like the high polish look rather than the brushed look. But that's me and your looks great.

Get a glove for summer driving. I had one of those T-handles on my old mustang and it got so hot in the summer, it was un-touchable. After getting burnt a few times, I ended up getting a leather shift ****.

I know....Ive had several of these T handles.....They can get pretty hot...
But its the same with any metal type shift handle...just gotta be careful....
