I am certain there was some sort of supernatural intervention in my survival several times in my life, so in my opinion there is also some unknown factor involved in survival other than wisdom, skill, experience, reaction times, etc.

Now they can ride in my vette anytime (WOW)

Are you telling me that as I reach 75 next August, even though I'm healthy and still work and enjoy it - - - I drive and enjoy my 2001 MY C-5 and enjoy it that - - you want me to go to a nursing home and quit driving my Vette? Am I going to be allowed to vote? Can I still drink a beer and smoke a fine cigar? Want to try to take that away from us older folks as well?
Get a freakin life. Remember - - - if you are lucky - - - maybe you'll reach 75 and yes, believe it or not, we old codgers enjoy our lives just as much as do you.

Damn.... Some of the old farts need to chill. These are STATISTICS. Interpret them how you like. They are all averages. I'm sure there are really young guys out there that have been driving since they could walk (like Dale Jr) and can drive circles around most people at the age of 16. There's probably old guys out there too (like Richard Petty) who can probably do the same. Averages people...

Personally i have no problems with older drivers, I think it's absurd to say that at the age of 75 you must hand in your keys just due to your age. And i feel you all see how absurd it sounds. Now why does it keep coming up about those under the age of 25? It's just as absurd.

As has been pointed out, it's statistics based on averages. Which indicates to me that most average drivers can't drive. How sad to go thru life been considered an average. It's not for me.

Default Statistics and averages

Statistics and averages can be wonderful things if you know what to do with them....because if you put one foot on a block of ice and the other in a pot of scalding water on average you should be comfortable!!!!
