For those of you that have installed LGM Headers, and then had a Dyno tune afterwards, what RWHP gain did you have, due to the headers?
I plan on this mod, and would appreciate your info...

Please do a search on this before you open this can of worms again!

I don't plan on spending the evening "searching" when one "helpful" member like silver6spdC5 can give me the information needed in one
reply. If you don't like my post, don't read it. If you cannot offer a
"helpful" reply, I wish that you would not offer any. I didn't join this
great forum to hear remarks like yours.
I don't have LG's, but QTP's. Got a solid 25 HP boost from headers only. The tune after installation was very conservative and the final AFR was nearly stock. Based on that, I would think 25 HP could easily be obtained. My HP is at 330 peak just for comparison. It was putting out more, but we cut it back with the AFR for the street.
Thanks a lot for your reply. I'm at roughly 320 RWHP now and it looks like the headers are a great mod to install. Between your reply, and
silver6spdC5's, it seems that I can expect about 35 hp and 30 tq.
I don't have the Vararam, I have the Blackwing, but I'm sure the results would be comparable.

Love, TRJ
This looks like some of the stuff you see on the C6 forum.....

I probably should have mentioned I had the Blackwing. I just bought a Vararam but have yet to install it.
MY LG's are still sitting in the garage. I hope they perform as well as some of you guys have mentioned. I DO expect those types of numbers. Will be nice to wake this car up a bit.
Thanks for your reply, Glen, do you plan to do the install yourself?
Will you be using an x-pipe, cats, tune? Good luck with the install
whoever does it, I'd be interested in hearing about your increased
RWHP & TQ.
Does anyone think that doing the LGM Headers, and the Mag. Charger
would be too much for my '04 A-4 trans? Thats my plan, unless I find
that it's not exactly a good idea. Appreciate your replies.
Vetteran,
What a bump, 3500 to 5000 rpm looks fantastic, and no tune!
Thanks so much for taking the time to post the run, as you say, it tells
the story. It looks like you spent about 7 hours that day, doing the
install and dyno runs. Thanks again, very much...

I am NOT doing the install myself.
I do have the entire LG system with the Random Tech hi flow cats and X-pipe.
I also will be having the car dyno tuned after the install. I have a Vararam already on the car and Corsa Pace Car exhaust. I can't wait to have the LG's installed. I had the headers & X-pipe ceramic coated to hopefully help dissapate some of the underhood and interior heat. I also am installing at the same time a ceramic coated tunnel plate to stiffen the car AND to ALSO help cut down on some of the heat from the exhaust entering the cabin.
I'll let you know how it all turns out after the install.

I did QTP's, RT hi flo cats, and a Corsa Indy system, basically the same set up as Vettenuts, done by the same people. My dyno sheet is in my sig, and with a 2004 MN6, we got 342 rwhp and 355 tq with a mild street LS1 edit tune. In addition to a great sound, the car just flies now. These mods made a meaningful difference from stock.
