The design is complete ! The picture I have attached is a graphic rendering of what my engine compartment / hood liner should look like when painted and assembled. I have shown concepts of individual pieces in the FORUM over the past few days, but I just finished overlaying them on an actual engine compartment. I appreciate all of your feedback, it certainly infleunced my design.
For those of you who are interested, I extracted the actual car, the chrome, the air bridge (Thanks Tom) and the fuel rail covers (originally silver) from FORUM members postings. I pulled them into photoshop and took what I needed from each.
The reality: I am not much of a visionary, so I needed to actually see what I want the final product look like BEFORE I start buying, painting and assembling the parts. The process is already expensive enough without ordering carbon fiber and then deciding to use chrome. Thanks again for the input -- hard part starts now!
That is sweet!
You should print out that pic and show it to people. Save yourself some effort
"Yeah, I'm not going to open the hood, but this is what it looks like"
Cool concept though
