Attacked by a rain cloud!

I thought my paint would only wash off, not the entire car melt away.

I let a couple of spots sit once ...
Never again.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I took delivery of my 1st Corvette ever today (I posted previously "It's on the way...") ... IN THE RAIN!!!!!!
It hadn't rained in San Diego all day at the time the truck driver called at 2:30pm to say he was in Newport Beach and heading south with my new C5 convertible.
I figured he had a 2 hour drive ahead & the weather was lookin' good.
At 4:05 the rain started! At 4:30 he drove up with the car. It had been hauled all the way from Minnesota in an enclosed trailer JUST SO IT WOULDN'T GET WET OR DIRTY DURING THE TRIP!
At 4:45 he had the car out of the enclosed trailer just as the hardest downpour began. It was unrelenting. It was unbelievable.
The best place for him to unload was a couple of blocks from my townhouse so, what I had tried to avoid the whole trip was tossed to the wind and rain as I had to drive it the two blocks in a thunderstorm to get it to my garage!
If it was clean underneath before I took delivery, it surely isn't now!
I guess it couldn't have been delivered at a worse time.
The good news? Well, now I have all weekend to clean it up while getting familiar with all its nooks and crannies where dirt can accumulate.
I'm gonna' post some delivery pictures soon. Its about 1am now so I'm outta here for the night!

PS. Its STILL RAINING! Hasn't really stopped since car arrived this afternoon. That's about 9 straight hours. You have to live here to understand how UNBELIEVABLE this is! Its nearly the most rain ever recorded in San Diego in one season in the past 150 years!!!!!!

If the rock is wet when you touch it, it is raining.
If the rock is dry when you touch it, it's not.
If the rock is cold to the touch, it is cold out.
If the rock is hot to the touch, it is hot out.
These rocks are great weather forecasters, our weatherman never leaves home without it.
