I picked up a Magnaflow SS with X-pipe on ebay for $800 delivered and have been been pleased. I wanted a mellow sound since I drive a 2000 vert, and it has a pleasing rumble without excessive resonance or noise when cruising top down - the norm for me. It was easy to install with no special tools - other than a haxsaw for trimming x-pipe length.

If you have a 6 speed, most of the systems are pretty good. You can shift to escape a resonance frequency when highway driving. If you have an auto, I suggest you meet up with a local club and ride with a couple of people to check interior noise.

Welcome. I have the Magnaflow system w/ X pipe and I love it. It's not real loud but does have a nice rumble.

Welcome to the forum - the Magnaflow system is very good - I've heard a few and they sound great. Quality looks to be very good also.

Always good to greet a new member, and look forward to your input

Choosing an exhaust (ed) (that was ) can be a tiresome experience because we all have our personal taste and opinions. I think someone suggested earlier about actually listening to what others have installed, and then going from there.

I checked out several before going with the GHL Magnums. There was a special on at the time, and I got them for a great price. I am very pleased with them. Many will suggest Borla's, Corsa, etc., and they are all good, but again just depends on what you want.

Good luck in your quest for the right exhaust for you. And welcome again bro

If you are looking for an aggressive sounding exhaust, the Borla XR-1 race exhaust sounds awesome on a stock vette!( warning, they are not for the faint of heart!)

I had stock, Z06 Ti's with and without the X-pipe. Magnaflows sound best without the X-pipe. They are #1 in the looks department. You'll appreciate the power provided by the straight through design. Only after adding the Magnaflows did the public begin to notice my Vette.

Welcome to the Forum Ed. Glad to have you. Did I understand that you aren't from this country originally?

I'm pretty sure I did understand that you already have the Magnaflows so our opinions on other brands really don't make much difference. It's what you like on your car. As for performance, none of the exhaust systems really add all that much and most are about equal in what they do add. I pretty much comes down to sound, quality, fit and finish...and your likes and dislikes.

If you want to hear a comparison between the Magnaflows and other popular brands, you can try this link:

http://www.madvet.com/shop?frame=1.36.6602

BTW, like your choice of cars. 98 Black Coupes are the nicest example of the breed ever built.
