Default I have decided!

After, some thought I am not going to get the plain C6. I remember why I got the Z06 in the first place. The coolest out of the box vette every made! Did I buy a vette to tour around in comfort? NO! That is what BMW’s are for. I got it to scare my tail off. I had just got done with racing motocross and needed something fun. Z06 was the answer. So, bring on the 2007 Z06!!

In the mean time, my warrantee has run out, so let the mods begin!

1. Vararam. On order, I think, waiting on response
2. Headers - Not Sure what brand.
3. CAM - Biggest that will pass Texas emmisions. I want rumpdy rump.
3.1 Tuning after cam.
4. Cat Back - Not sure, I like the stock sound.
5. Wheels - HRE, Love them will have to save some $$
6. To be continued ...........

Well, I feel better now. It great to have a life plan.

Yep I am doing the same to mine.

I am going to just do minor stuff, first is Zip Tie, Electric Cutouts, TNT wet kit 100shot. That will be plenty for me to start out with ,somewhere about 490ish RWHP. Then have it tuned on motor and gas wideband, and go have fun..

Long time no see man, How have you been.

Still have the SS ?? Still in Tomball ??

Howdy!

Like the plan

On your mods:

1. Any intake is an improvement, the VR seems as good as any!

2. Lots of choices, but with emmissions, a set with high-flow cats seems like a must. Like the LG's, Dynatech and Kooks - the LG's will run about $500 more with cats, and might make more power. Dynatechs and Kooks seems to make excellent power, good low, and sound great.

3. Not sure what will squeek by but the Comp 224/224 .580 has been passing (even used in combination with AFR 205 heads).

4. Exhaust? Heck leave it alone - factory Ti is light, looks and sounds great - plus with headers and a cam you're going to be making some pretty serious sound anyway!

5. HRE - hard to go wrong, but of equally high quality (but maybe a little less "brand tax") are the CCW one piece and iForged 3 piece forged wheels. Lots of styles and finishes available (some CCW 505's would look sweet on your black car).

Cheers!

Thanks for the info.

I agree any intake is an improvement. I mainly picked the VR because of the controversy. LOL I will find out for myself how good it is. Plus, it looks cool!

I will run the cats 100% of the time. It will be plenty of fun for me without swapping them out. Those are the three I am most interested in. I guess I am leaning towards the kooks. But, if I get a wild hair and install them myself, I will go with the Dynatech. It looks like an easier install.

I really need to do my homework on the CAM. I have no idea what I want or what works.

I agree on the exhaust, I like the stock a lot. I guess I will not fool with it.

I will take a look at the CCW’s that may work especially if the price is good like you mentioned. I am hoping to find used wheels when I am ready.

Again Thanks for the info,
