Nope. Was up all last night with work - haven't slept yet. Maybe on Wednesday night.

After you lower the front end, you'll have to stand up to set down. Looks good EG!

Right now, getting into - and out of - the Vette is "interesting. It is now so low (with just the back slammed) that I just drop in to the drivers seat, and climb out of the car.

There was no elegant way to get out of the Vette before - now... well, let's just say that it requires some thought before getting out in public

UPDATE :

Slammed the front today - completely removed the front bolt. Job proved to be pretty straightforward after I did it. Hindsignt is always 20/20...

It took me about 4 hours to do both sides - even though I have the Helm manuals I find them near useless (to me).

I'll post completed "after" pictures tomorrow when it settles - it was still up in the air from jacking it up.

EG

PIX

As usual, the most difficult part is getting this puppy airborne. Going to have to invest in a lift of some type.

Installed the frame savers

Tried to cut corners and not drop the lower A arm - wasted a good hour on this useless venture with a bottle jack.

Dropped the lower A arm. Required unbolting the lower shock bolts, sway bar clamps (to the chassis) and lower ball joint. Some "persuasion" from a stout hammer while keeping a jack below it, and it came out without protest when I dropped the jack

That bolt is seriously long!!! Was GM designing a off road Vette???

No patience with the second bolt. Dremel and diamond cutting wheel made short work of the other bolt.

Just 2 pieces of Dynamat Extreme between the leaf and the lower A arm - bolts deleted.

Since you are from England you probably needed this dictionary to understand the Helm manuals

Nice! Removing the front bolt is the only way to go. I slipped a piece of reinforced silicon hose (1/8" thick maybe) over the spring so it wouldn't rub. As you know from working with the dynamat, the tar will most likely work its way out quickly.

Oh.. I spent another 6 hours today dynamating the rear interior!

Rain,
Thanks - but my car is not a "she" - it's a "he" Do you know that I only found out what "busting caps" meant just last year. I was unfamiliar with that idiom and had no clue what it meant. Sheltered life...

Bill,
The soundproofing project is a major PITA. So... I hate to do this to you but.... need pictures!!!
