Hi everyone, get glare on the inside of windshield off the dash I can see HUD trim, vent, the glare distorts the view out the windshield. Am I the only one thats bothered by this? I suppose if I got a dash pad it would be better anyone tried it?
About three years ago my son detailed my C-4 I had at the time and he put ArmorAll on the dash. It was months before I could get enough of it off so I could see clearly thru the windshield again.

If it has been treated with a protectant, try taking a moist rag with some mild dishwashing soap (like Ivory or Dove) and wipe it down. That should help a bit.
Can I get that at a parts store? Thanks for the Info guys. The dash does seem to shine like someone put something on it. The glare that it creates is bad.
Maguires makes a low lustre vinyl treatment that is excellent. Softens the vinyl, has no offensive odor, and leaves the interior looking natural but clean. No. 1, no dash glare on the windshield! I use nothing else.

I see the HUD in my ZO6 as well. Not all the time, just when the sun is at a particular angle. Being that the dash is black helps some. I had an 02 F-150 with a tan dash, and the line from the dash pod was was right in my field of view. Drove me to the point of buying a dash pad, which was a lot better, but still not right. Could not wait any longer and traded it on an 05 Sierra Crew cab, with black interior. I feel your pain brother, will always have a black dash.
A Dash Topper pad works great. The hole in the dash topper is the exact size of the HUD's clear lens. The pad covers the raised borders of the HUD lens which is the part that refelcts on the winshield directly in your line of vision. I have black interior so obviously I have a black Dash Topper. Before I bought the Dash Topper, I was really regretting getting the HUD option my C5. It made a world of difference for me.
