I recently found an ad in the paper for an 03 Z06 at a Chevy dealer. Thinking it was used and possibly within my budget, I called only to find that the car has never been titled. I have a good idea what the current market is for these cars used but not in this fashion. Any ideas where this car should be priced? Thanks.
Hello, run the vin# and do a car fax. Don't trust what a salesman tells ya about it. It may have been damaged at the dealership and keept in the back ground getting fixed as shop down time allowed. Do some digging. Askaround the dealership. The wash rack kid and the valet driver see what they know about it. Best of luck. I hope you find it a great deal.

I agree - sounds like it could be a demo - see what miles are on it. I bought my '00 with 900 miles on it (put on by the dealership owner) and got it for invoice. But the car was only 11 months old at the time. Your's is probably two years old already even though never titled. I'd try to get it as close to used as you can.

I agree - get the VIN and then PM SpongeVette. He can tell you what the car's warranty in-service date was. If it truly has never been titled, the car has never officially been placed into service. Which would mean to me that it has it's original 3/36 warranty.
I too, wonder how many miles it has on it.....but SpongeVette can run the service history on it as well, and you'll be able to see what has been done to this car under warranty.
Some of you may remember my thread "Worry about import / export Vette?". In that case, I was soliciting opinions about my concerns about a 2002 Vette that received its first title in 2004. It turned out that the car had been overseas. Produced in 02' or late 01' and shipped to the UK in 03', coming back to the US in 04". Just a thought....maybe the car has been out of the states.

Same here. Bought my '01 in March '03 with 12500 on the clock. It was never titled, but never damaged. The business manager drove it for the 1st 2 years.
My car stickered for $53,500.00. I picked it up for $39,500.00.
Don't let them sell you the idea that being untitled it's somehow worth more. That's . I confirmed this when I called my cousin who manages a dealership. He also booked the car for me so I knew where to negotiate. They were asking $41,750.00 on autotrader.com
Do your homework. Could be a great deal. I'm still suffering from ZERO buyers remorse.
This is getting interesting. I do agree with the above with respect to the car no been worth the price of a new or special Vette. It's just a car that got overlooked for some reason. And we all want to know what that reason is.
When I bought my 95 it was 2 years old and had 12000 miles on it. It was never titled and belonged to the owner of the dealership. He used dealer plates when driving. I didn't pay any more for it because it was untitled however as I was the first to title it the title said "new" not used.
