I just want to know what does IB4TL mean everyone uses ???????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????????? ??
I know this doesn't belong in the general place but I'll try to explain.
Last night, I was reading posts. Someone (a newbie) made a link to that stupid commercial where the guy loses his door to the Satellite delivery company.
Point is, the link went to some sort of site that had "Adult FriendFinder" ads across the top with the video in the middle of the screen.
Well, when I clicked on the link, it showed pics of ads for women. I responded "IB4TL" because of a inappropriate link.
The reason I posting this is because tonight my s/o logged on and while "searching" (uh-huh, checking up...lol) the history on my computer showed me going to adultfriendfinder.com.
Obviously I didn't go there, it was because of a link to the video.
I tried to find
a) my post showing that I wrote that it was IB4TL... (actually, I used my version of [/dancing banana] IB4TL
b) Or the actual post itself.
Needless to say the post must have been deleted completely. The problem is, I'm still here trying to explain to her why I went to adultfriendfinder.com
Will/can anyone at least verify that the post existed and I'm not making this up. She says she believes me but it's not looking too good.
Mods, I know this will get deleted/locked, I just need a mod or someone that saw the video to verify so I can keep my integrity.
Help.
Mark
If you really want some advice, listen to how she feels and not just try "to get yourself out of trouble." Trust me!

Get himself out of trouble for WHAT!!! What a Gem!! And really don't recall him asking for advice either!! Grumpy, lock this useless non C-5 related thread down...pleeze
Just for the record, I'm not IN TROUBLE. At 42 years old, I don't need permission to go on to a **** site. If I don't go, it's because I don't want to and out of respect for her, not because she doesn't allow me to....
I just gave her a engagement ring on Valentine's weekend. I just didn't want her to think that just cause I gave her a ring, the romance is over. You have to admit, it would look funny to anyone's s/o if the first time I go to look something up, here not comes a **** site but a site advertising locally women that want to have affairs.... just don't look good.
Anyway, thanks for the help, I didn't have to prove my innocence, I wanted to.
Mods, like sweetcharity said, may as well lock down this thread.
That same **** stuff keeps popping up on my screen almost every time I get on line. I just installed the latest version of Norton Antivirus about two weeks ago. My wife and I think those **** sites are disgusting and have no intention of going to them.
What can you do to stop that garbage from popping up? Lately, every time one pops up that has a "contact us" on it I send them a message that I am forwarding their garbage to the FBI Fraud unit.
How do others control this sort of abuse of the internet?

Rule number 1 - never, I repeat never respond to them - it makes it worse. Get a good pop up blocker (if you are on XP, go to the latest level because it has pop up blocking) which will help some.
So I guess what you are saying here is you never went to a **** site on a computer, or you just got caught and want us to bail you out...
FWIW, I did see it as well. I did not go to the site it links you to. Then again, I clear my history as well as temp internet files also, so things like this don't happen to me!

I like that story. Sorry for your grief, but it's still funny.
I have pop-up blocker with my ISP so maybe that's why I didn't get those ads when I went ...
If that's your story ... stick to it
