go with the 3M clear paint protection bra... I have one and love it, from 5 ft away you don't even know it's there...
I also have it on my rocker panels and on the fenders behind each
wheel! If you have a darker colored vette, just be careful when you wax
around the seams. The wax will collect there and makes the seams more
visible.
C5Creations has a fabric bra that stretches over the front end and covers about as much area as the other bras. It can be washed too and folds up nice and compact.

I have a speed lingerie bra it is expensive but it is worth it $549 plus shipping from the company they give forum members a discount and they are very nice to talk to when you call them
Seriously, I've always just bitten the bullet when it comes to paint chips. If it's a daily driver, you can't let yourself get worked up about little stuff like that
I have the GM Bra (or is it BRO?) - best bang for the buck - Fichtner sells them for about $70. The fit is very good, and once you've done the initial install, on and off real easy. The only that thing that sux about the GM bra is the instructions.....but here's a Tech Tip that really shows what involved with the install!
It lists the advantages/disadvantages of the different types, and includes comparison pics.
I think you'll conclude that Armorglove is the way to go.
Here are a couple pictures from that thread:
The bra is on the car.
Another shot with the clear bra.
Two test samples of 3M film and Armorglove film. Pick the one you'd rather put on your car.
Close up of the two samples. 3M is on the left.
wow thats amazing...i can't even tell theres a bra on that car...either i need to get my glasses checked or that is one crazzy bra that is not visible!!!
3M clear bra is the only way to go. BTW, 3M updated their film last year and it offers even more protection and guarantee against yellowing. Just wash and go and after 2 years, not a chip/scratch in the paint.
(make sure you get a quality installer, makes all the difference)
Ok guys heres the deal, I've decided to put some miles on the vette this summer. I'm taking a road trip from florida, up to PA, then NY, and last CT. I'm thinking about buying the GM bra to put on just for the highway part of the journey. The only thing that scares me is the fact that i heard dirt can get under the bra and cause scuffing on the paint....Would this likely happen to my car, or should i not worry about it? Thanks, Chris
I JUST GOT LUCKY AND GOT A SPEED LINGERIE ON THE FORUM I WAS GOING TO JUST BUY A BLACK ONE AND AT THE SAME TIME I WAS NEGOTIATING FOR THE BLACK ONE A WHITE ONE POPS UP AT A FAIR PRICE AND IT WAS BRAND NEW NEVER ON THE CAR.
I have the 3M film and I love it. I have it on the front fascia, headlight doors (and the part of the hood in between), behind the wheels, door handles, and door edge guards. When the car is clean it is almost impossible to detect.
I wanted the protection of a bra but didn't like the looks of them, even the Speed Longerie.

my little calculator on my Casio wrist watch tells me that it's cheaper to just get the bumper painted once in couple years! matching color bra costs more than 300 US dollars and so does the clear 3M stuff...and tho people say they look nice and all, nothing beats the NAKED front without garments to hide its beauty.
NO bra bro!!!
One of the members of my Vette club has a Torch Red as I do but with a black bra on it.
I can not imagine putting anything like that on my car. Takes too much away. Paint it every 2 years or so.
