I love my black/black/grey convertible. I don't know how rare it is, but I have several friends with 3X black cars - the black interior shows every particle of dust ond dirt, much like the paint!
Randy,
Can you post a picture of your interior. That is a pretty rare combo for a vert! Very cool ...

Tino - I'll post one when I get home later on today. I'm a little embarrassed to show a photo of it, it's got a slight tear in the driver's seat and the bolsters are pretty worn out. I ordered my Vette Essentials Interior Extreme Makeover about 10 days ago. I retained the grey interior - the seats will be predominately grey with black accents.
As far as it's rarity - there were 2354 (21.2%) Black convertibles in 1998, and there were 1289 (11.6%) convertibles made with the Pewter interior. By extropolating - it comes out to around 273 black convertibles with a Pewter interior.
I got my 2000 torch red coupe with 39k on it for 21K, but it from the auction and needed some work, brakes, tires, (wheels hee hee) and a good detailing.
I was skeptical about the gray myself, always having black in my other cars...but I like it.
Those are nice looking floor mats, good idea. I am now torturing myself, haha, I found an exact copy of the 20,000 mile Black Grey coupe, it's a Black Black coupe with 16,000 miles! Ah, and its about the same price $31,000 but local so no 600 dollar shipping charge. Now I have to figure this out. Is anyone else as obsessive as I am? I stayed up till 3 am last night researching. I am sure I have some company out there, anyway it is my first Vette so I want to get exactly what I want.
Price sounds good and I think the interior color would give it some personality. I know I've never seen one like that. The interior color was my last priority, with price, mileage, condition, outside color being ahead of it.
Quick feeler, if you found a 2002 all option automatic black mint coupe with both tops for 30,000 even, would a grey interior deter you from buying it? Is this even a good price, I kind of wanted a black interior, but this car seems like it will save me a couple thousand.
When I ordered my 2001 vert,I ordered quicksilver, black top and light grey interior. It looks great! Hep
