Hate to say this (no I don't) The C5 seats are a lot more comfortable than the C6. Initial impression anyway, The C5 interior appears to be richer in appearance. The C6 is harsh and the trim work you can get in a 20k car. IMHO C5 is better
C6 seats have a fiberglass seat back frame, so they should be lighter. As far as comfort, that's totally subjective. I also have a CRX, and many people have said they're the most comfortable seats (OEM Recaro) they've ever had, but I think they're the most painful seats I've ever had....I dread road trips in that car!

have you been in a c6??? I'm sorry. I love my c5, but as far as interior fit and finish it doesn't even compare to the c6.
C6 seats have heated seat components already built in, have better quality leather and might be lighter according to lefteye. On the other hand, they tend to be blander looking than the C5 seats, heating can be modded into the C5 seats and with a vette essential kit, you can make one helluva good looking seat for your ride.
IMHO, if you are going to upgrade, go with a caravaggio seat or some other racing seat or, just mod your C5 seat for less money. The cost of buying C6 seats for you C5 isn't worth the trouble since there's not much to gain.
I sure hope that they wouldn’t lock a thread about a legitimate mod on a C5. So I don’t think that you need to put IB4TL. I thought it was a good question.
Drove one and NO the seats are not more comfortable than the C5.
The hardness of them reminds me of the jump seats in the back of a pick up.
Perhaps because they were new and not broken in yet.
Mine feel like a comfortable pair of slippers.

why are some of you so quick with the IB4TL posts?? its a good question, and has EVERYTHING to do with a C5. the post about the C6 shifter in the C5 wasnt closed, nobody complained about that.
find another thread to read if your not interested! geesh!

I've sat in a C6 a couple of times, but really didn't think the seats were any more comfortable than those in my C5. Hopefully they have solved the rocking seat issue in the new ones.

Yea but the C6 seats grab you better. Its one of the few things I like over the C5.
