Ive done 165 and the car didnt feel to stable after i hit 160
And yes i have T1 bars, 04 Z06 shocks and springs
it must be air lift under car, since i dont have a diffuser(front spoiler)
Well to tell the truth i hit 173 tonight and wanted to know what others have hit. Yes It was not very stable, but there was nothing in the way and did not have to move alot. My car need new front tires so that made it worse when trying to coast to a safer speed. Car did not seem to be lifting any. She felt like she had more in her, 500 more rpm till rev limiter(or more). But thier was a bend about 3 miles ahead and I just let off, went to netural and coasted for miles.

I'm going to be that your car is lowered and you lowered the back more than the front (took the rack out) and screwed up your down force.
My car is rock solid at high speeds, I've probably got as much time over 100mph as eveyone else in this section combined and much of that is above 140 I can tell you that with a good allignment and at the correct ride hight, the car is very stable.
My top speed is 180mph. I held it for a while hoping for 181, but i didn't have it. I've thought about taping up the nose of the car to cut out some of the drag, but didn't really see the point of it.
If you do the math on on the gear ratios with stock tires, 5th gear at 6000rpm is 186mph

Looking at factory program using EFILIVE my speed limiter was set at 181. Mine is a 99. Last car was 02 F body and that was set at 167. After research found that the F body's are just not safe much over 160. However Y body's should be good for 200.
