Default interesting......

Went out for a drive this morning (looked at the C-6). got back in the car and the DIC displayed; "Trac Control Warming Up".....according to the manual this is a normal occurance (though I had not seen it in the year I've owned her)....then it hit me; I wish I could post the same sign on myself at work ("Don't bother me, still warming up")

Please, this is not a question for C5 General - too many locked threads here on this already. C6 Corvette General Discussion is the place for this.

I have found that if you start the car, place in "Drive" and don't exceed 11mph for the first few seconds (20-30) that display will show up. Common occurrance when I'm in the parking garage at work.

I've seen the message Active Handling Warming Up and it was after I had been driving the car for over a hour. I had stopped for a few minutes and pulled away very slowly for a while when I saw it. Always wondered why it wasn't warmed up enough.

The comp takes some time to calibrate the Active Handling System, you must be in a straight line for like 10 or 20 seconds i think.

From the FAQs at jakelatham.com:

I keep getting the message "Active Handling Warming up" - what does it mean? Is anything wrong?

Evidently if you turn your wheels before the car has rolled 10 to 15 feet it will come up with that message. It's checking out the wheels and stuff and I guess if you turn the vehicle before it's completed the task it comes up with that message. At least that's my story and I am sticking to it.
