[Z06] Oil Changing tip...
After a long cold winter, be sure to check the plastic pan you are about to drain the oil into.
If it has a huge crack in it, do not use it.
You might end up with 7 quarts of oil in your new garage
If this does happen to you, you will need 50 pounds of oil dry to get it all cleaned up.
Hope this helps....

I actually bought a 15 quart oil "pan" from Walmart last year and didn't notice it had a small hole melted in one of the seams... at the bottom. Oil came out as fast as it went in...
I was not a happy camper.

That is exactly what happened to me, unfortunately I let the oil drain for an hour and went inside to watch basketball. I did not know it was leaking until I came back out. What a mess!

Good tip...
Right after I bought our house (first brand new house with rystal white concrete drive....) I had my mother in law out and was changing the oil in her car.
I was not feeling well, but I had to get the job done.
I put the oil drain pan under the car and took out the drain plug - got out from under the car and went about my business.
Unfortunately, the oil drain pan was just out of reach of where the oil was actually dropping...and all of the oil went onto the new drive and started running down the incline to the street.
I was really p.o.'d (at myself).
Luckily, the crete had been sealed, and I was able to use a rag with gasoline to wipe up the spill. You cannot tell it ever happened.
