Like it or not the styling has moved on. I saw pictures of the C6 next to a Ferrari and there is a similarity. I wonder what would happen if you showed photos of a C5, C6, and Ferrari to people with size 0 histories of the cars and asked which one was related to which. I suspect many if not most would pick the C6 and the Ferrari as cousins. I didn't like the C6 initially but it is growing on me. I have test driven it and it is a worthy successor to the C5 in the vette line. I do think it sad that many who can't have one find it necessary to toss insults around, like calling it a girly car, but that's what envy and jealousy do to people.

Going from a C5 Z06 to ANY C6 other than the C6 Z06 is a downgrade IMO. The only guys that seem to be going for it are the guys that need to have a new car all the time.
Although I'm still not crazy about the looks of the C6 Z06, it's much easier to forgive the looks with the performance that it has. I'm not just talking about the engine performance either. I'm talking brakes and suspension as well.
Well.. We'll see what price GM ends up putting on them. That will be the deciding factor on whether I modify my car to C6 Z06 performance or jump ship to the C6 Z06.
To modify my car to C6 Z06 standards, it would cost at least $20K for the engine. Another $6K for brakes. Who knows what the difference in suspensions is yet.

I have to ask. Why do you take this so serious? Do you not find humor in someone standing in front of a C6 telling his girlfreind how cool it is and her saying its a foo foo car.

I kinda always liked the basic proportions of the C4 actually. To me it is like an Armani suit, it never really goes out of style.....
The C5 and to some extent the C6 all kina remind me of a dachsund.... stretched in the middle more than what looks good... I know that they got the tranny in the back to get the weight distribution almost where it needs to be, but if the back wheels were moved forward I think it would have had better proportions...... and super weight distribution cause it would actually get back to or be better than 50/50
