I am in the middle of getting a set of CCW 505's and was wondering if their is a BIG difference with the regular polished look versus the chrome look? I know that the chrome are easier to take care of but is the price worth it?
Also can someone please post pic's of "chromed CCW 505's and Polished CCW 505's".
I guess I have seen the polished ones on the forum many times but I am lost as to if they were chormed or polished so as side by side comprasion would really help.
Also should I get the EMT that are 18/19's or should I get the 19/19's NON EMT's or 19/20's? I like to assurance of no worry with the EMT's but are the bigger wheels better then the 18/19 setup?
Thanks in Advance. what to do?????

This is all IMO:
Personally I like chrome over polished because of easier maintanence.
18/19 for me, I like to have some rubber on the wheel in the rear ... with 20's , you might be looking at 30 series tires. Hit a pot hole and you rim is done. With the 19, you can go a little thicker tire. I don't really care for the way the car sits on wheels all the same size.
EMT's for peace of mind. You can always carry Fix-A-Flat and a patch kit, but again ... peace of mind.
Good questions. I've been looking around myself for wheels. Good luck on your purchase.
Chrome looks better, but, polished wheels never rust!!...ever...yes,more maintenance, but I actually used zoops sealer on my ccw's.. haven't polished them for four months and counting, still look new! It is supposed to be good for up to 2 years...time will tell!!
just a thought to counter the polishing every weekend thing.....

vette dream..19's all around.11's in rear/10's up front non runflat
Da boz... zoops seal is a sealer for aluminum, works well on highly polished, but the process is fairly extensive, takes a bit of time.. but if you only have to do it once every 2 years,...

I really like the looks and low maintenance of chrome. EMTs are a nice security blanket to have and the newer ones in the 18/19 size are reported to be much less harsh on the ride. Good luck with your decision.
I thought the CCW 505a only came in 19/19 I have the chrome ones - they are the best looking IMHO. Unfortunatly my car has been away almost as long as I have had the wheels (between the paint shop and ECS) so I only have a few pics....
My experience with the Zoop junk is just that - it is crap! A friend Zooped a set of BOyds Smoothie II's and drove it one month in Maryalnd Winter and the wheels have to be sent back to Boyds to be redone. If you wash your car everytime you drive - or it never sees harsh weather - it is prob fine - but make no mistake - it is not very durable in harsh conditions.
Chrome wheels do not rust if you take a little care of them - but I would not want to run them on salty roads either.....
Ummmm,You may have a point since I have a ca. car, and NEVER drive in poor conditions. Thanx for that heads up!
As far as chrome............................ it only takes one time(one cold /flu /ailment /emergency) that keeps you from caring for your wheels when they need it....and then it has begun.....if you know what I mean! Don't get me wrong, I love the chrome, but have lost 2 sets of wheels to them(well, not really lost, just unhappy with what happened to them)
