Recently it was suggested I buy a Z06 air box cover and K&N filter for my 02 vert. It's very easy to see this cover will let more air into the engine that the stock air box cover. I was also made aware that some companies are selling a modified cover with a very large opening. I ended up buying the Z06 cover.
Now the questions.....
Would I have been better off buying the mod cover with the largest opening?
Should I see an increase in performance with the Z06 cover & K&n filter over the stock set up?
What if anything will this set up do to my current 29 MPG I see on the highway.
What year Z06 cover did you buy? If your looking to keep the stock look, I would just keep the 02' Z06 box and the K&N. If not you could of just cut a large hole on your stock box.
MadMan, as I stated in an earlier post to another thread of yours, I did the same conversion. I was told I might gain 3-5hp. Your mileage may go down a bit but not much.
