Thanks to everyone who offered up body parts and advice.
Talked to my local repair guy today (finally).
Going the repair route simply due to a lack of funds to replace the panels.
If this doesn't work, then Im right back where I started.
fingers crossed - should go into the shop next Monday.

$571 dollars later - Shop repaired and painted. (even re-painted when they were not totally happy with the results the first time.)
Only took a few days. I had them keep it another day to align the headlights and hood.. and to touch up paint where the headlights were rubbing the aftermarket hood.
I appreciate everyone's input and assistance. (Sorry GM Junkie - could not justify the road trip but would certainly like to get over your way sometime down the line)
