Default Climate Control Bulb Replacement

I'm not looking to replace them all with LED's although I think it looks sweet! I just know it would deem replacing all the other bulbs in the car with LEDs, which looks sweeter yet, I'm just not that ambitous.

Someone (I think it was Dope?) posted the part number from Radio Shack for replacement bulbs. I only had one out for a time and was willing to live with it but last night I noticed two more out. It's time to do something.

With the fantastic search function here I'm not able to find the post after much searching. Anyone have it saved?

It was me- (but probably someone else too). Pretty easy and cheap to do, and yes I got the parts at radio shack.

Thanks Eric, that's the one I needed!

VetteDream, thanks very much for the offer. I'll PM you my info.

BTW, it looks like that part # you reference is a three pack of them, one green, one red and one yellow. Do you just toss the reds and greens? (in case I need more)

Hopefully my VFD lasts long enough to make this endevor worth while.

If it's really two clear then that's OK.

Has anyone not replaced them all? I'm wondering if there will be a noticable difference if I just replace the three that are out.

I replaced one at a time at first and left the old ones in to make sure my solder job worked. They are just about the same brightness that I didnt notice any difference. You may as well replace all of them, my bulbs went from 1 out, to all but one out in 2 months. These replacements have a 10,000 hour lifetime, so they should now outlive the car.

Probably a good idea. It's BS IMO that we need to do this. Reminds me of the Ford radios that all have the LCD go wacky.
